With rowing boats and swans for company, it's a fun and relaxing way to spend a few hours and enjoy another side to Galway.
Beginners are always welcome. We cater to people of all ages and abilities and plan your session to suit your abilities.
We want you to enjoy your first time in a kayak, that’s our goal.

The morning tours meet at 10am and you will be all finished by 1pm.
The afternoon tours meet at 1:30pm and are finished by 4:30pm.

Give It a Go uses a combination of double and single kayaks. The types of kayaks used on each tour will depend on factors such as the weather and customers experience levels.
Apart from kayaks and paddles, Give It A Go provide all our customers with:
A "long-john" style wetsuit, designed specifically for kayaking, this style of wetsuit makes it easy to kayak whilst keeping you warm.
A cag - these showerproof, windproof jackets keep you warm by keeping the wind and rain out.
Buoyancy aids - comfortable and easy to put on. This is what keeps you safely afloat if you are in the water.
We do not provide footwear - see below for what you need to bring with you.
Family gatherings, getting together with your friends, Hen parties, stag parties, sports and social groups - all group bookings are more than welcome.

Cancellation Policy:
for cancellations made up to 14 days before going kayaking, payments are refunded in full.
for cancellations made between 14 and 7 days before going kayaking, 50% is refunded.
for cancellations made within 7 days before going kayaking payments are non-refundable.
If for any reason Give It a Go has to cancel a kayak tour (e.g. unsafe weather conditions) we will try to reschedule your kayak tour for a suitable alternative date. Failing that your payment will be fully refunded.
